Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Moshi
On reaching the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you are welcomed by a driver guide who transfers you to Moshi Town. When you reach here, relax hen check-in lodge for dinner and Overnight. Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel.
Day 2: Explore and visit the Materuni falls then community visit
Morning breakfast at the hotel then transfer to hike to the beautiful Materuni falls that were formed when snow melted for the top of mountain Kilimanjaro. While here, you view the Magical Mware River then proceed to Materuni Village where you explore different coffee farms. After return to hotel for dinner and a night stay. Premier Camping
Day 3: Nale Moru village to Simba camp
Early morning breakfast then transfer via Nale Moru Village to meet up with the team the after enjoy a delicious meal and all the registration. Watch various wildlife animals/ primates like colobus monkey, reptiles, butterfly species, gazelles, insects and rare tree species. Dinner and Overnight. Simba camp.
Day 4: Leave from Simba camp
Breakfast then with a hot meal for the day, continue with the hike exposing you to stunning Kibo peak and the crater rim with ice fields. On the arrival to the next camp, lunch will be served, relax to reduce acclimatization before heading for further elevations. Continue with the hike admiring every single bit of nature that you by pass. Retire for the night. Camping
Day 5: Mawenzi peak to explore the lava formed caves
Morning breakfast then embark on hike to the ridged peaks of Mawenzi. Follow through the park’s greenery comprising of open moorlands with lava formed caves. Reaching here, you visit the caves then after break off for lunch then after you continue for Dinner and Overnight at Premier Camping.
Day 6: depart from Kikelewa cave
Breakfast then depart from the Kikelewa Cave then descend to Mawenzi Tarn campsite which is a short hike and on arriving at the campsite, enjoy your lunch. Have views of the stunning terrain then later retire for the night at the campsite for Dinner and Overnight. Premier Camping.
Day 7: visit Mawenzi and Kibo
Morning breakfast then with early stunning views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks, embark on a quite challenging hike which takes you traversing the high-altitude desert to Kibo Hut. When you reach the hut, have lunch at mid day then later get to check-in your camp for Dinner and overnight. Premier Camping.
Day 8: Gilman’s point, Stella’s point – Uhuru peak
A meal at dawn, then pack up and continue with the hike to Gilman’s point at the crater edge. Later continue to Stella’s point after crossing the crater rim. While here watch the terrain, valleys and forests surrounding Kilimanjaro as the sun rises Later you will start descending back to the mountain base camp. When you reach here, have lunch before beginning our 3-hour (gentle) descent to Horombo camp where you have Dinner and Overnight.
Day 9: Marangu gate-Moshi city
After a meal at dawn, trek down to the starting point at the base of Kilimanjaro then continue on descent through the amazing terrain, breaking off at Mandara Huts. Here you watch the blue monkeys and the rare colobus monkeys. Continue downwards till the Marangu gate entrance where you attain certificates to congratulate you. Later transfer Moshi Town for Dinner and Overnight. Kilimanjaro wonders hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
Morning Breakfast then depart from Moshi then to Kilimanjaro International Airport to board flight back home.
